bios update cooler cpu???

hi just updated to the latest bios for my motherboard and the at cpu temps have dropped from 37 -39 idle/45 on load to 226-27idle / 29 load??? has something gone wrong here its shows the same in the bios and on my dual core centre.

just thought it was very odd although i have changed some fans.

oh and q6600 @3.2ghz

It may have been reading too high before. I know some of the Gigabyte ones have had this problem and the temp readings have changed afterward. Although those new temps look too low for air cooling.

Those are very good temps if correct, as my Q6600 at 3.2Ghz sit at around 35-40 idle under a tuniq tower on low fan speed.

Have you tried any other temp monitoring software like speedfan or realtemp to verify the temperatures?

wont other software just use the information the mobo is giving.

my 3.7ghz q9550 is @ 29c idle.... so it might be possible

i will try some other software tonight.

i always have all fans on high speed though
