Bios Update Failure

I have just tried updating the BIOS of my Asus PK5 Deluxe using the Asus Update Windows software. I thought the update went through OK but the next time I rebooted the computer would not POST. It starts to power up but after 3 seconds it automatically turns off, then turns on again straight after, then shuts down again, it carries on indefinitely doing this reboot/shutdown cycle until I pull the mains plug. I am assuming the BIOS is messed up as everything was working fine before this. I have tried resetting the CMOS and pulling the battery out for half an hour or so, but with no change.

Is there anything I can do to to recover from this or is the motherboard dead?

Uh-oh Asus Auto Update strikes again. I had exactly the same problem on my P5B Deluxe. Not sure if it'll be the same on the P5K, but you can read about it here:

In the end I got mine out of it (On the second page of that thread), though it looks like the OP of the thread above didn't. Worth trying the stuff in that thread eh.
