Whats the best bios update for the GA-P35-DS3R Rev 2.0? i'm currently running F6, but having trouble setting high fsb, anything over 350 seems to fail to start even with low multiplers. I've got a E8500 being delivered tomorrow. so want to be able to reach 400+ at least.

Ok i've read that F10 is problematic update so will probably go with F11.

I've not done this before and just been looking on google on how to do it. They all use floppy disk drives. Anyone know of a good guide that either uses a CD or USB pen drive as i've not got a floppy disk?

I use a USB flash drive to flash the BIOS on both my X38 DQ6 and P35 DS3P, put BIOS file on USB flash, leave it in USB port, reboot, hit Del, enter BIOS, make sure "Legacy USB storage detect" is Enabled, then remove any O/C that you have, Save & Exit (ie reboot), hit "End" to enter "Q-flash", run the utility, reboot, hit Del, then select "Load Optimized Defaults," Save & Exit, then hit Del, enter BIOS and set your O/C values, once done Save & Exit....and that is about it (I reckon).

If you have an E8500 coming, I would use the latest BIOS for your board. :)

Sorry to hijack your thread, but i am getting a gigabyte P35C-D3SR Rev 2.0 and installing a E8400 CPU and i can only find the F10 BIOS on their site.

EDIT: sorry different mobos
