hi im having trouble updating the bios on my mobo and can not overclock my cpu voltage in bios either. Here are my specs:

CPU Type Intel Core i7-3770K @ 3.50GHz
CPU Measured Speed 3.53 GHz
Motherboard Z68XP-UD3-iSSD
Memory 8GB , Team Group Inc. Vulcan-2133
Video Card Tested Radeon HD 7970 / R9 280X
Hard Drive Tested Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB (250 GB)

The current bios version is U1A which must be old as i cant even find that on the gigabyte web site! ive tried to flash bios U1C but would not work. This mobo is s/h off my brother who was using an i5 2500k sb in it, ive a feeling i may need to put his chip in it and try doing the bios that way. Any thoughts if that maybe the reason? Thanks in advance

Hi thanks for the reply, yes I've checked support list and it's on there. The problem appears to be the 3770k is supported on f10 bios where as my current one is U1A. I guess I'll put the 2500k chip in and hopefully I can change to the f10 fingers crossed

Update... i couldnt get the f10 bios to flash on the Z68XP-UD3-iSSD mobo but could get the latest u1c beta on there. So my mobo now has the latest bios but if i go into voltage settings in bios i can alter it to say 1.200v I then boot computer and cpuz & cpuzhw will say 1.040v idle 1.056v load!! Has anyone a clue why this is happening? thanks in advance
