BIOS update issues

Hi all, I updated my BIOS using the Nvidia tool mentioned here:

However I get all sorts of beeps on post and can only boot to Windows in safe mode from the boot screen. I'm unsure what I've done wrong but would like to know if it's possible to go back to an earlier bios version.

The downloads page on the EVGA site only has one version of the bios, which my PC wouldn't recognise when booting from a disc. I've spent six hours trying various fixes with no success; removed and replaced CMOS battery, swapped RAM configurations, fiddled with with bios settings, but to no avail.

After differing beeps (sometimes two long beeps and sometimes countless long beeps), mobo codes 7F or C1 I can choose to continue to Windows in safe mode and everything seems to work okay. However, as soon as I shutdown or restart, the process repeats.

The below are all at stock settings.

Win 7 64bit
8gb Corsair Vengeance
Q9550
Gtx 660


If anyone can point me towards a list of previous Bios drivers or has any suggestions, I'd be greatful as I'm out of my depth and would rather not have to buy a new (old!) LGA775 mobo.

Update: An EVGA support chap emailed me back at about 3AM this morning with a page which lists all of the legacy drivers. I'd not have been able to find it without his help, props to night-time support staff!

The first two legacy BIOS's I tried work like a charm - I'll keep going until I can find the version which I originally had as it had a "Dummy OC" feature which squeezed a lot more life out of my ageing system.

I'm assuming that I borked the first BIOS installation somehow.

Should anyone be looking for old legacy versions of their EVGA BIOS and can't find them, just drop their support an email :)


EDIT - it appears that my mobo was using this BIOS and nothing to do with EVGA... I'm such a noob. Any idea how to find this BIOS as I'm after the Dummy OC function, which EVGA doesn't have or support.
