Hey all - I have just installed Sandra to my PC and it says I need a BIOS upgrade - does anyone know where I can get one? :)

Thanks.

Check your motherboard manufacturers website for the latest bios, they should also give you instruction on how you should proceed to flash it if you don't already know how.

Edit: if it's all working ok i wouldn't bother, only upgrade if you are experiencing problems or that's my advise anyway :)

I'll second that. Only update the bios if it's absolutely neccesary. It might not be so bad these days, but a flash gone wrong could very well mean a bricked motherboard.

Thanks for your input :) I was just advised to by the program, but they wanted to charge me to update! o.O Forget that.

Never update a BIOS via Windows. Also do it manually in the BIOS itself.

in the old days that was true, i wouldn't say it true anymore(its the same as updating your drivers, people still say you need to uninstall the old ones first, but you don't anymore and haven't needed to for years)
i have updated my laptop bios 6-7 times without problems and in-fact they only have a windows installer
desktop PC also
also you cant update it from the bios, you need to be in dos(boot from floppy or CD) or windows to do it
