Hi, could somebody tell me where to find the updated version of this BIOS?

GBT - 42302e31 Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG

I've looked on gigabyte's site and they have different BIOS versions, but according to my bios version the developers of my bios are award software international. I can't find their website though...

My motherboard is a: Gigabyte EX58-UD3R

I'm not sure what revision my bios is, if that's even relevant, but if I need to download the bios update from Gigabyte then I think it is...

Basically, I haven't got a clue and I kinda need some help on this, I need to update it because of a malfunctioning graphics card which I'm being helped with in that section...

Okay, I found what revision it was by looking inside the case, it's 1.6. Okay, so those are the right updates then, I got really confused because of the award software international thing.

Anyway, cheers for those links :)

One last thing:

My system is crashing randomly at the moment. Sometimes (like now) it can be on for over an hour and not crash. Sometimes it'll crash within minutes of logging on.

If the system crashes whilst I'm updating the BIOS I could get really ****ed, however my system does not crash when in safe mode.

Is it okay to update the BIOS in safemode rather than in windows normal?

It's an unstable graphics card that's causing the crashes, it doesn't happen in safemode because in safemode the graphics card isn't utilised(?). My display shuts off, sometimes seemingly random, sometimes when I do something like load a game. It won't always crash, just sometimes. Sometimes when it shuts off it will come up with lines of colours, and sometimes it'll just go black. Windows is still usually running behind it, although windows often freezes aswell when it goes blank (I know this due to system sounds i.e. music etc... that I can still hear), but is almost always still running when the lines come up.

The g card is new, I put it in only a few days ago, I made a topic in the g card section concerning the actual graphics card: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18342119

Thanks :)

As I said, the card is new, I used an anti static wristband to put it in and was very careful, if it is damaged it was either damaged when I got it or the damage was unavoidable.

I can run games a lot of the time though. I ran skyrim with no crash after at least an hour earlier. Yet other times my computer crashes before the game ever loads. Also, the card can run the MSI kombustor benchmark test without any problems (although it's died every time i've tried running the heaven one), so surely if it was a hardware problem I could never run games, the fact that sometimes I can't, and sometimes I can would suggest it's a software problem?

Safemode might not run graphics drivers, I have no idea how it works, but when you have no graphics drivers installed you can still get onto a 800x600 res windows to install them, I assumed safe-mode ran the same way?

Which drivers could potentially be causing a problem do you think? I know my graphics card driver is up to date, but a lot of my drivers probably arn't...

Also, would using the 'optimised defaults' option in BIOS be the best way of removing the overclock on my system prior to updating the BIOS?

I have checked the event logger, I get this error before every crash and at other times aswell. I'm not sure how long before the crashes exactly, generally a minute or two before I get the next error saying the system shut down unexpectedly:

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.
