Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 AMD 990X (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard i've done a clean install of win8 using a bought disc how would a noob update his bios settings?
There are a couple of bios programs that come with the mobo disc but i've never updated bios knowingly before so i'm a little worried about frying things
The reason i'm asking is to try and remove the regular bsod on start-up i'm getting, i've turned off steam for now and most other non-windows apps as windows seems confused by them. Plugging in hardware such as headphones is enough to cause bsod.
So Bios how do i update safely
