Just installed a new motherboard today Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77

installed windows 7 64 bit did all the updated ect ect.

decided to flash to the latest F18 firmware using gigabyte windows programme, computer restarted after successful upgrade and then that's it, nothing aprt from install system disk or press any key to continue.

Yup the flash some how killed my newly installed OS, what a pain in the back side.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Daft question, do you have any USB keys in or any drives installed, the BIOS might be looking at the wrong drive.

Also when you installed windows did you use a SSD and did you install in ACHI mode if you did don't forget to enable this when I e BIOS.

Yeah i can get into the BIOS, i use an SSD hard drive no USB drives or anything else installed, just strange after bios upgrade it wouldn't boot. ACHI is enabled and drivers were installed.

Do you have multiple hard drives? if so try changing the boot order to another drive. Windows doesn't always put the boot config on the drive you install Windows on.

you could have popped in windows dvd and do a startup repair,it usually fixes bootup issues, would have saved a reinstall
