Ive got a dfi motherboard, no floppy drive and i used a program called winflash to up my bios. check on your motherboard website to see if there is any program you can use to update without having a floppy drive
Some allow flashing from a pen drive, or in Windows. Or if you have a spare HD just create a MS-DOS boot drive with flash utility and firmware on it, boot and flash. At least safer than floppy..the dreaded floppy drive seek sound..
Well I was asking because I am going to build myself a new pc and will most likely be using a DFi Ultra D mobo which as you say can be flashed in Windows. I was only asking to see if it could be done as its about the only use a floppy has anymore.
If you are getting a DFI mobo the go to here and look at the sticky "Tmod's - Ultra Infinity - LanParty "B" - nF4 Bios Flash CD". Download the ISO and burn to CD. It's got all the bios's, official and Modded for all the DFI mobos. When burnt you just boot with it and flash to any bios you fancy.
No problem. Join "the street" and any problems that you may have with your DFI mobo can normally be sorted fairly quick. Look forward to seeing you there
