Go into your BIOS and launch EZ Flash from there after putting the BIOS file on a USB stick and flash that way.

wrong bios image message

Asus shiped the Board with the Develoment Bios on it of which the Windows Based Flash program sees as P5GC-MX (UD) and the bios from the website is P5GC-MX (1333)

im pretty sure its the right one. yeah i got a usb stick :). it ways i need to run it in dos mode. extract the flashing program to a usb stick, then boot from it? do i need to insert some commands in dos or somethin ?:)

Nope EZFlash is built into the BIOS these days, mine was and that mobo is 2years old! . Just the bios image file itself, put it on the root of the USB stick and reboot the pc, on POST screen press ALT+F2 to enter EXFlash or enter it from the BIOS screen itself. EZFlash will display the bios file if it is found on the USB stick :)

did all there research i possibly could on my crappy motherboard ( p5gc-mx 1333) think maby of getting a new one?

yup

always best to flash in dos, no matter what anyone else says..
:o

I'm such a bad, bad boy. Flashed my Asus P5Q-E to latest BIOS today in Windows. :p

Worked brilliantly. Just wasn't that happy when my PC decided to show me the A: drive in Windows. Not happy as I don't have an A: drive you **** of a PC. :D

Mine didn't work. never investing in another asus motherboard as long as i live :( they didnt even take some time to fix the bios version when they shipped out the dam thing

on the uk asus site there are 4 different boards with similar names, download all 4 latest ones and test each

edit, incase you don't know, you have to take the file out of the zip file then put the .ROM file on your usb stick.
