with my motherboard I can set the fsb and multiplier manually, but is it ok to leave the voltages on auto? anything wrong with doing that? or is it going to end up pumping really high voltages through my system?

cos the last time I did any OCing, i think I set the voltages too high and ended up frying my gpu which is why i want to leave things on auto...

Yes leaving voltages on auto whilst increasing the FSB is a good way to fry your cpu. BIOS's, even in the non ROG Asus motherboards, have crazy voltage options which the MB is all to happy to select on Auto.

are there any good, simple, overclocking guides anywhere? last time i tried it i thought i did well, until a few months later my graphics card started crapping out on me. just got a new one so i dont really wanna do that again
