BIOS won't update.

I have the Gigabyte Z87 OC mobo running F7g BIOS (which I believe was a beta) checking the official site here it appears that version F8 has been released around one month ago. I downloaded it and copied it to a USB stick and booted in to Q-Flash but Q-Flash tells me that it is version F7g still? Could it be that both F7g and F8 are identical and only the version name has changed? Anyone experiencing this?

you have to use latest verion of @BIOS so that it updates qflash,once done you can carry on flashing with qflash

I have experienced a bios update whereafter the version number remained the same. It was a long time ago and a few people posted about it. Issue was they forgot to update the bios version in the new bios.
