Hey,

Righto, I was going to start and try to OC my CPU tonight...

I have had this problem for ages - on boot, I get a "CPU is unworkable..." error.. press F1 and everything seems okay.

Also, since I bought my PC components and put em together, i've had a problem where when I boot it up, it will boot for a few secs, turn off for 5 secs then it'll work.

So tonight I thought id flash my BIOS.. did that. Rebooted... although had to do it by the case as it was still on with nothing on the screen.

Rebooted..... got an error "CMOS Checksum error"... rest was fine.. err got some new hardware from XP on login.. but the boot problem still exists.

Also, the initial BIOS menu says my RAMs in single channel mode or something....?

Any ideas, been away from PC hardware for a while.

Cheers
