Recently bought Bioshock over Steam for £3.49 and really enjoying it.
However when I exit the game it seems to not exit properly and I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to run Task Manager and end Bioshock that way. When I do, the desktop wallpaper disappears and my desktop goes black. Sometimes Vista tells me that Bioshock has crashed and do I want to submit the info, so it seems that Vista recognises that Bioshock is crashing.
I often save in game so I don't bother with saving Bioshock when it prompts me having decided to quit.
I'm on Vista x64 if that helps. Earlier today Vista launched a helpful prompt saying that the makers of Bioshock recommended downloading the patch for Bioshock. V1.1 I think it is. However I believe Bioshock is patched up and even if it wasn't I can't use the regular download patch because this is all run through Steam. So not a helpful prompt really.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I'd be grateful.
