Bioshock 2/Games for Windows Live problem

What's the error message you get in game when trying to sign in?
 
When I start the game it gives me a log in screen to Games for windows live.I put in my e mail account and password(which I have now changed 3 times today) but it just tells me the account name or password is incorrect.I can run the game but the save icon is greyed out and will only work when you log on to GFWL.Only e mail address I've ever had.If I try to open new account with my e mail it says account already exists.Swings and flipping roundabouts mate!Grrrr!

Have you actually created a Gamertag for your account? Goto http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-us/live/Pages/livejoin.aspx click create account, and put in your email address.

From what you have just said its probably related to your password or something silly like that. Just go to the GFWL forums they have plenty of support people live on there now to help it will be much quicker for you now!

Yeah,like I said it just says account already exists on my e mail and then says password or e mail are wrong.Ridiculous.

Are you able to log in OK using the web site or do you get the same problem? http://login.live.com/

Is your email account a Live/Hotmail account or something else? If if is something else, just for clarity, I assume you mean you've reset your LiveID password 3 times today and not your email accounts password?
 
Finally,at long last (12 hours)I have got it working.I deleted GFWL twice and reinstalled and it finally decided that my e mail and password were valid and lets me save the game now.
God only knows what the problem was,maybe corrupted files on the GFWL update or something.
I have started/stopped/saved/loaded the game half a dozen times now and so far all is good.
I'd like to thank all of you who took their time to try and help me out.I am so,so gratefuul.Thanks Guys.
I am now off for a coronary.

GFWL is pants but at least you have working now.


Anytime my PC has been on a considerable amount of time it won't sign in when in game (any of mine GTA4/Batman/Fallout3/Red Faction Guerilla/SF4). I know it is happening because I don't see the 'Press home blah blah' bit after starting up. If I do press it then with show 'Signing in' for about 10 minutes before I give up waiting and exit/force quit the game. Signs into the desktop GFWL type client fine. A reboot sorts it also. Meh.
