Hey, can anyone help me with updateing bioshock 2 with steam? i have no idea how im suppose to do it, and googleing the issue brings up nothing. Its really bugging me because i think im running the release version of bioshock 2. Help!

it says version 1.0 in my retail version even after being patched
Bioshock 2 won't be updated via Steam - it will be updated using Games for Windows Live. Make sure you are signed in and if there are any patches, it will prompt you.

Yeah it did prompt me and updated, or atleast i think it did. But it still says version 1.0, and the game feels like it needs a patch, i dont think the patch worked :/
There are two things I'm reading on Google -
1) If you haven't got the game installed where it thinks it should be (I don't know what that is) it won't install the patch.
or
2) The patch is installed but the version number is bugged and doesn't update! LMAO.
Plus there are still issues with the game that haven't been patched. Doesn't seem like it ever will be again either. All quiet on that regard.

I think patch 1.1 is for BioShock. BioShock 2 should be 1.0.0.3 or 1.03.

Would rather just download the patch manually and install it my self, but dont think i can do that with steam vesrion :-/

Ah that is the patch i was looking at, some reason it was mentioned at version 1.1. But still the patch i got from gfwl deffently didnt work as that patch mentions colour blind mode on hacking, and i dont see that added in my current version. Im gunna try that link.
