I nabbed the bioshock collection going cheap. How well did they remaster 1 & 2. I played 1 back in the day and loved it!

It was shocking on re-release, proper buggy mess.

The original game is a masterpiece, the second is OK but more of the amazing world so it too shall pass.

Infinite + the DLC is incredible though. The DLC especially. Oof.

Oh... Have they fixed it?

I never played Infinite so looking forward to that.

I’ve played the remastered games recently and had no issues whatsoever. Excellent games. I did enjoy infinite more than the others so you’re in for a treat if it’s your first play

Not seen the remaster but I do remember that the games have a good replay value because you can get to the point where you are good enough to turn on the hardest setting and then it becomes a much more interesting experience.

Lol, I wasn't good enough!

Infinite is fantastic, my favourite out of them all.

Kind of like Half-Life they originally built an entirely different game, which was largely complete, before tearing it all apart and building the retail game. There are a few videos of the original intentions out there - was originally much more ambitious.

I've skipped playing all these games simply because I lost my save for the first game way back when it came out and before I found the energy to restart it the ending was spoiled for me.

I've absolutely no idea what happens in the sequels, but I do have infinite in my library, which must have been a freebie.

Will I miss anything if I go straight into it?

Yes, the story will make no sense.

Nothing to stop you playing Infinite as stand-alone but I really would suggest playing through the trilogy.
