Bioshock: demo overnight

Just watched the trailer, pretty good and the music just fits nicely. :)

Edit. DL stuck at 1% here aswell.

I would have preferred a pc demo just for curiositys sake on the dx10 performance, wonder how much ms chucked 2k games to have the demo exclusive for the 360 for the time being.....exclusive demos...christ what next. :rolleyes: :mad:

Demo isn't exclusive, 2K website says;
The BioShock demo, announced after the world premiere of the BioShock launch trailer on Spike TV, has just now gone live on Marketplace. Boot up your 360s and get downloading. Rapture awaits.

For those of you who are looking for a BioShock demo on the PC, it is in the works and will be out later this month. I'll give you more details about it tomorrow.

Just hope by later this month they mean within a few days. :o

Will have fun with the 360 version for now though, and measure performance when the demo is out on PC, if it's out before the game is.

Just smells fishy to me, for this big planned announcement you would have thought that both formats would be ready. :mad:

And this dload speed is amazingly pathetic, just watching my modem its like burst of activity then nothing for maybe 15 secs or so, then activity then nothing. :(

I had just plugged into the **** SD tv downstairs as im trying to sort out network issues(router is downstairs :rolleyes: ) then I check new arrivals and this demo is there........perfect SD Bioshock :mad: flew to 3% now its stuck there lol.

Time for a cuppa.

downloaded 6% here, seems to be going quite slowly, although not sure if that's the servers or my terrible adsl connection.

Believe me its the servers, it seems ms couldn't allocate more servers\bandwidth even though this games been hyped to hell and back.

I think for the amount of people that are proberbly hammering the server/s atm I think it's understandable really, even when a really popular PC demo is released sometimes it's hard to find a decent server with a respectable download rate.

Now to see major nelson with a post saying "yes folks we yet again screwed up this demo release, youd think by now we would be clued in but that aint gonna happen, please check back tomorrow and try again". :rolleyes:

I usually find one pretty fast, problem with live is its the only place to get the demo so when a big name demo does hit it gets hammered right away.

I always wonder why MS don't implement bittorrent on the 360 for massive releases like this, would seem an easy way to overcome the bandwidth problems they seem to have for every major demo release.
