This is for those of you that may be having problems running Bioshock 1.
I dont know how i found this fix but ealier on this morning i came across something that allowed me to play the game without having to edit files, add command lines or change the compatibility mode.
Its quite simple.
Google OpenAL.
Goto the site and install the latest version. Then (this is where it gets a little strange) uninstall it from the programs list. Restart your computer and then run the game.
The game runs flawlessly for me now. No sound issues and no exe errors.
