Bioshock - No Sound ..

Did they ever fix this? My mate just tried to play it and gets no sound after the cut scene.

I thought this was quite a well know problem with the game, would've thought they would've patched it be now. Its the Steam version - assume if there is a patch, it would've been installed already

hmm i had that...one mintue the game ran fine, then the next time i loaded it up i got no sound at all :/ . At the time i had onboard sound, but now i use a X-FI sound card and i haven't had the problem since, maybe try updating to newer sound drivers if there is any.

They still didn't fix this in the 1.1 update, just run the game in XP-SP2 compatibility mode (even in dx10) and it should work fine. The sound skipping issue is improved in ver 1.1 however
