Hi All 
I'm sure this may have been posted here before and I apologies in advance if it has but here's the problem I'm faced with.
I have installed Bioshock and set everything up how i want it screen res etc.. When I start the game all the menu sounds are there and the cut scene at the start with him talking with the fag on sounds fine.. It's not until the plane crashes that i loose sound completely and even if I then go into the menu there's no sound. I'll list below what I've already tried and see if anyone has any other suggestions (I know it's an old game but it a game i really wanted to play again):

Installed latest patch.
I changed the line in the User.ini under [FMODAudio.FMODAudioSubsystem] from MaxChannels=128 to MaxChannels=64
I can't and don't want to use Stereo Mix one because for some reason it's not listed and two I've heard it makes it sound poo.
Any help would be greatly welcome
