Bioshock on Steam

Does Bioshock on steam require activation via Securom?

I have this game from Direct2Drive, and I have to reactivate every time I try to play - it won't save my details.

I would be willing to get on Steam to avoid that hassle.

SecuROM is still included in the game however and will install itself (apparantly) if you've bothered about that.

Steam uses it's own i think, but i wouldn't worry about SecuROM on Steam.

I don't recall having to activate anything at all, don't know if that means there isn't any or that steam does it all automatically.

Didn't they remove SecurROM in a patch? Or was that something else?

just completed this game about 1 hr ago on hard setting as its too easy on any other setting,fantastic experience,up there with the best of games,recommended
