Bioshock on your machines.

Yeh I have, read through the 2K forums but nothing helped.

I'm now suffering from bioshock.exe crashing also.

Tell me about it. Finaly got time to play it today and it will crash every couple of minutes. Was crashing in Vista so I tried XP and it's the same there.
I only have the patience to restart the game a couple of times then I get very **** off and leave it.
I've not even got to where the demo ends yet. I can't complain too much though. A mate bought it and he has'nt been able to activate it yet, keeps rejecting his serial number and those SecuROM guys certainly ain't to quick to respond.

From what I have gathered the crackly sound is something to do with Realtek audio (nForce boards have this).

It's not worth me buying a new sound card as I intend on buying a new computer soon so I think I will just end up not playing the game until I have something that isn't going to frustrate me everytime I start it.

It's a real shame because I was looking forward to having something to play and immerse myself into!

Let's hope that future UT3 engine games aren't as bad...

I got it running ok on my Dell XPS M1710, Was managing a nice 1680x1050 everything at max with no hassles until it got killed by Avg and i have lost all intrest in it now, to busy with warhawk....

Tell you what I noticed most about going from my old X2 4400+ rig, is that on my new rig, when you take a picture, the score and grade appears instantly, while as before, there was a second or two pause while it calculated the score

Runs smooth and looks good.
1680 x 1050 on XP, everything maxed.
But sometimes i have to reconfigure audio and graphics everytime i exit and return to the game

1680x1050, DX9, everything maxed, forced AAx4, vsync off:
38-80+fps

With vsync on I get:
32-60fps

Definately dips to the mids 30's, more than playable for me though which is nice, prefer playing with vsync on even if it costs me a few fps here and there (tearing makes me a sad panda). Fraps reporting average of 50fps with vsync on, so not too bad.

e6850, 2gb ballistix, bfg 8800gtx, win xp, all at stock at the moment.

I was pretty chuffed this ran smoothly on max settings for me, considering my system is a bit more dated now. Decent enough game but I didn't think it was worth the perfect scores in all the reviews it got.

1680x1050, DX10, everything maxed.
Only just installed it and played the first level, smooth as silk.

E6300 at 2.8ghz, 8800GTS, 4gb PC6400 ram.
