Bioshock problem

I've finally got my student loan and decided to reward myself with bioshock and the witcher, the witcher being so addictive i've only just got around to installing Bioshock.

Problem is i only get to play it for very short periods - whenever i quick save it's an instant BSOD. I'm running on the latest nvidia drivers etc, system specs are

7800GTX
opteron 175 (running at 2.8 ghz)
2 gig of ram
X-fi extreme music (with latest drivers)

Every other game runs stable so i doubt my overclock is causing it, did anyone else have problems like these when they played it?

For some reason Bioshock crashes usually when I am searching an enemy body :S Have to use taskmanager to end task it. I am using the latest nvidia driver (the beta one), perhaps it doesnt like the beta. Using a e6750, p5k and a 8800gt.
