Aye I should have it early too, online shop dispatches on 22nd and it's next day delivery so fingers crossed.

Bioshock is a brilliant game, probably the best out this year atm. I would say its better than half life 2 and has the same gripping feel of playing half life 1 for the first time. The story line has twists and turns, although it is linear it doesnt feel like it.

played bioshock demo and whilst it was good, i dont think it was brilliant at all. Much preferred the jon woo demo.
However, i admit that its only a demo so you cant really get a feel for the game, but going on the demo i cant see how its gettin such high scores.
Then again i dont see why half life 2 got such high scores, i really enjoyed it but it wasnt anything new

The full game is 10 times better than the demo, the demo doesnt let you get into the storyline enough :) and yeah i also thought half life 2 wasnt that good and i still dont.

I still refuse to pay retail price for this game. I'll be snapping it up on the members market :p

No doubt there will be plenty of copies once people realise its not their type of game and get fed up with it.

I thought the mavity gun was pretty unique and played a big part in the game.

I agree on HL2, it was really fun, but god, that speedboat section and the car section were sooooooooooooooo boring lol...

I've been one of the biggest disbelievers of the whole bioshock thing, all the reviews just seem so full of hyperbole and praising it too much because its different... A blue square is no better than a red circle... Not to mention the demo being boring. But I will probably grab it from steam in a couple of months when I get my new PC to see if i'm wrong.

Has anyone been debating whether to get this on PC or 360?

I think I'll go for 360. My PC has a 6800u still, and the idea of having nicer graphics on a big screen more than compensates for the lack of mouse and keyboard!

I have it pre-ordered for the 360 although I would prefer it for the PC but I don't think my system is powerful enough, or at least, the graphics aren't powerful enough. I have an E6600, 2GB RAM and a X1900XT so I'm not sure how well this will cope. I'm waiting for the PC demo to arrive so I can see what it will run like then I will decide weather to cancel my 360 order and get the PC version instead.

That system would easily max it out in Directx9.

That sounds promising! Its been ages since I upgraded my PC so I was unsure on how it would handle BioShock. Why couldn't they release the PC demo at the same time as the 360 demo damn it!

After playing the demo I am SO looking forward to this. :D

That'll look far better than the 360 version, I've got the same spec but with the X1950XT and Im getting the PC version.

The X1900s are still mighty fine cards. I would imagine they will give adequete performance for a while to come, especially if you are at resolutions of 1280x1024 and lower.
