BioShock Stuttering

My BioShock has started pausing every few seconds, I've already tried clearning the cache by holding LB and RB on startup until it gets to the title screen, this helped for a bit but now the pausing has returned again after just a few minutes of play.

Has anyone any idea on how to fix this?
 
Is it doing it from turning the console on cold?

This happend to my mate, Bioshock started stuttering all of a sudden, couple of days later he's got the RROD error.

It didn't stutter if say he'd just turned his console on for the first time that day, but after a while it would start to stutter, took him 4/5 days to actually get the RROD though.
 
There is a caching problem with the game, I had the issue.

When loading the game from inserting the disc, hold LB and RB until the main screen. This should clear the cache and fix the stuttering. Did it for me.
 
Yeah, it's an issue with the latest patch. My friend used the maintenance feature, deleted the updates for all his games, then played it again and it was fine.

I never had any issues with it at all before the update and I completed it.
 
I had exact same issue on the game last night on the very last level. Completely ruined the game for me :(

I tried to clear the cache - but I thought it was holding down the A button... dang. Sure that used to do the trick on Oblivion.
 
I had the same issue from launch with only the 1st update applied. This is also probably the same issue that Gamespot marked Bioshock down for and that everyone here said was them talking BS.

sure you weren't using your burnout revenge cheats? :) :)
 
No, each game can program different ways of clearing cache. Oblivions used 'A' but Bioshocks doesn't.

A maintenance clear worked for my mate.
 
Mmmmmmm Burnout, you guys havn't played it for ages! I'm in the middle of moving house atm so I can't use my 360 or even my usual PC, well I could, but it'd be too much hassle, so I'm putting up with this smaller one :(

We ought to get the old gang back for a night of Burnout before Paradise comes out. Used to be a great laugh.

I actually traded burnout a while ago. If everyone starts to play again ill buy it yet again. I know you all looked up to me as a kinda Burnout Revenge god. Its my duty to come back.

Seriously, its the 2nd best game for the 360 by miles.

Is that lb\rb trick not limited strictly to oblivion? Near sure i remember a while back reading something that states it works for oblivion but nothing else. :confused:
