Bioshock will not work with windows live?

Hi, I have installed Bioshock and set up my windows live account but the windows live bar at the top of the page doesnt open when i open the game. I have used windows live with Dirt 2 on steam and that worked fine. Im not sure if I am being stupid here.

any help is appreciated.

Bioshock has nothing to do with GfWL afaik.

No, they only implemented GfW on BioShock 2.

Hmm, it says "Games for Windows" on the cover?

well it does run in windows

if a game uses GFWL it usually has 'LIVE' beneath the Games for Windows or on the right hand side beneath the PC DVD. its a confusing way of doing it but hey, its microsoft.....

Oh ok, does this mean that i cant get any acheivements on this game?

sadly no.

from what i remember the game doesn't even remember your play through stats.
