BioShock wins BAFTA!

looks like wii sports did well,

i dont see how they can compare bioshock and crysis, since its not even out yet :/

I was greatly disappointed with Bioshock, far too easy and no re-playability at all. They should have added some sort of multiplayer. Mines uninstalled now. I personally think C&C 3 is one of the best games so far this year, loads of re-playability on-line, second to Orange box.

How did Crysis get in there? It doesn't exist yet!!

Disagree with the above post, Bioshock is a special game.

the awards lost all credibility when i seen what won strategy and simulation

seriouly how on earth can wii sports be classed as a strat or a sim game

It's just the BAFTA's trying to raise the profile of the video games section of their awards program, they have to go with some of the most popular games to get press.

Bioshock is still installed, just got bored by the sameness of it all after rescuing my 3rd little sister. Looks nice, nice atmosphere but it's just another fps after all, one that isn't very challenging and when it is you don't get held up at all anyway.

Good to see BioShock do well. I really enjoyed it, but I can't bring myself to argue with any of the critisisms that people are aiming at it...It's all fair enough really :/

i enjoyed bioshock as well, but those awards are a lot of crap really, i mean look at the nominations for god sake, notice in strategy the distinct lack of THE best RTS of the last few years (supreme commander) and how the balls did wii sports win best strategy anyways, its the EASIEST game ever concieve, its really not that great.

but then thinking about it again, the red hot crappy peppers always win music awards and there total crap, so im just assuming awards are also crap and meaningless :p

Well deserved. Fantastic game, and something head and shoulders above a lot of the rubbish that gets released.

definately, except for the fact that i expect to want to PLAY through a game, not get 2 hours in become invunerable (or incredibly close to it) and bored. stalker and bioshock same issue, they follow absolutely normal fps play, basically everything is the same level through a game, boss's end of levels and so on, baddies get a bit tougher, weaps get tougher to beat them.

rpg's your character gets stronger, but the enemies, even the same enemies scale to higher levels, with better weapons, more tactics, bigger groups, better weapons. stalker and bioshock both let the character get massively stronger, but the bad guys stay the same level throughout.

after 2 hours i simply had no actual fun playing, i could kill anything easily with a wrench? or anything i wanted, i could keep whatever weapon i found quickest to kill with filled with ammo, i had health packs up the backside and even if you do die, theres no consequences at all. after 2 hours you don't have to be tactical, or careful or stealthy or really put any effort it. it becomes a, i'll get to the end so i can read what other people thought of it.

in that sense its crap because its simply not fun for a majority of the game. yes theres some VERY nice features, SOME of the plasmids are nice and semi original, but using a rage plasmid was almost completely ineffective so i didn't bother. icing someone over then switching weapons, it was all pointless when i can kill most things in 2 hits with a wrench, when one hit turns them to ice anyway. most of the really nice touches in the game were the same as a cup holder in a car, a useful feature, but in reality you'll never ever use it.

the Wii sucks, and its will start its slow death of million's of box's on ebay that can't be sold. one title what, 10-15mil sales, because it comes free, 2 more titles above the 2 mil mark, and it will lucky to ever get more than another 5 games above 2 mil. while the 360 and ps3 will outsell it in game sales by 10:1, maybe 20:1.
