Has anyone managed to get one of these in a Biostar 200N and get it to work. I'm currently running a X1600Pro and looking for something faster, did see X1650xt on AGP but cannot find one for sale in the UK.
personally i would say the x1950 is wasted on that spec, no offence intended.
but i cant really expect the x1950 providing any more power to a 6800 series, having to upgrade the psu and gfx would seem a bit of a waste to me, as the graphics card would be cpu limited.
going for a 6800 should provide enough power, but i dont know whether it is worth the upgrade as it is of an older generation to the x16xx but should still give better performance.
what sort of things do you use your pc's for? first make sure you really can justify the graphics card If you can, then go for it, try it in the 200w psu (sff psu's are known to be stronger than pc supplies) if not go for an upgrade. You will know if the 200w isn't powerful enough as the graphics etc will be throttled, giving you lower framerates and lower scores in 3dmark etc.
used mainly by my son to play games but he's come into some money for xmas so has decided to upgrade his own computer to a x1950pro and all the bits so I think mine will do for the stuff that I need it to do.
Did look at maybe getting a X1650xt but can't seem to find anywhere that has the agp version, anyway thanks for all advice given.
