Had a problem with this boarrd needing a few reboots to get it to boot fully since it was hanging then 2 nights ago i shut it down at night and in the morning it refuses to boot now.

I was sure it was the GFX card (gtx 280) so i went and ordered a 4870x2 planning on selling the replacement card but i tried it in a friends and it works fine.

I've also tried mem in different slot 1 stick 2 sticks etc, hard drive is 100 % working and so is the psu, i noticed that if board is powered up without the pcie connections in the gfx card it no longer makes the sqealing noise.. does that come from the card or the board itself? im thinking it is probably the board myself so i've ordered another one hoping to get a refund once tested.
 
I've heard about a lot of the newer gfx cards squealing. I would first suspect the card for that noise, especially since it happens when it's powered up.

Have you removed everything you can and tried to power it? Turned the whole rig off from the mains for a whie? Sometimes this can get them working for a short time, depending on the problem.
 
I meant the really loud squealing that is made when you forget to plug in your pci cables to the gfx card.. that doesn't happed like it should .
 
It's giving me a 9A error code atm ..Just tried with my old ds3 board and it booted fine so it's deffo the board.
