Biostar TP45 HP Overclocking

Hello,

I have just purchased a Biostar TP45 HP and want to overclock my E6400 Core 2 duo up to as fast as possible. I dont expect anything crazy as i have a cheap Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro and know i wont get that much out of it.

Does anyone know where i can get a guide so i can manually overclock as the Automated Software just runs tests and does not actually apply the Voltages,Frequencies etc: The tests go as far as 301 Ghz and then stop but i want to apply them manually for perminant effect. I know its in the Bios and have seen it but need the exact timings,Frequencies and voltages etc

I am new to overclocking but been working on pc's for 15 years so am keen to have a go and see what i can acheive without melting the CPU

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

read the stickies at the front of this section, tbh for a mild OC you can prob just increase your FSB and not worry about voltages etc

As 95th said, do your own research and be realistic about what overclock you want to achieve.

I have a similar setup to you and would be disappointed if it didn't clock close to 4Ghz

Thanks for the info, 95th & CatMangler , i have an E6400 so should get 3Ghz and will do some reasearch and let you know.

I assume the stickies you are refering to are the Apps and tools. Which app is best for looking at the current clock speeds ?
