Hello,

Basically my friend was joking around thinking and knew what he was doing and being a bit of a **** and set a password on my bios. He has now forgotten what he set the password as :(.

Wondering if anyone knows how to reset the password??

I have thought about taking the battery out may do the job but no posistive so thought i would ask here first and in doing this would i lost my overclock on my E7400??

Thanks

Unplug the cmos battery, remove the power lead form the psu and short the cmos jumper, leave the pc for 15 minutes, go make yourself a sandwich or something and then plug it all back up and give that a go.
If its like a laptop it wont work but i should imagine the security on these desktop enthusiast boards wont be as high spec as a laptop though.

That is really annoying as took me a while to tweak that overclock to achieve low temps and volts manage to get my e7400 @ 4 Ghz 22 hours stable in prime :(

thats life.

you think you got it hard - the power to the house tripped out right in the middle of a reflash. try going through a foxconn RMA and complaining about losing overclocks again :P
