Birthday game - what to get?

Halp plz gentlemen. I'm another year closer to death and so can demand a new game from my Queen.

Now, is it going to be COD4 or World in Conflict? Or are these too l4m3 compared to what you think it should be?

(I've got the Orange Box, COJ, Bioshock, and don't like Crysis.)

Gah! I dunno. I have a lot of fps right now...but I loved BF1942 and so on....but then again I had to destroy my CIV4 disk because the game ate my life...

i played the WIC beta and online trial... Got very boring in my opinion. COD4 is amazing, great singleplayed, multiplayer is very good, and hopefully will be improved once bigger maps are released!

For me WIC is game of the year, I've never had so much fun playing a single player RTS. Its quite simply superb. Having said that, they are both must play games and you should try to get a copy of both, WIC can be found for £15 on the net now.

This is a decent point - COD4 is damn expensive compared to other high profile releases. IIRC I paid £35 (from a Jersey shop...), and I don't think it's any cheaper now.
