Bit Defender Port Scan was detected

Just started getting this tonight am I right in thinking some 1 is trying to hack into my pc?

Any advice how to stop it?

Have firewall on virgin media on and set to stop port scans

False alert.

"Port Scan" originated from VM's primary DNS server.

I see around 2-300 port scans a day, so nothing to worry about.
The software blocked it - it did it's job forget it and move on.

cool thanks. glad i bought it now.

not bad got the 2008 edition for 3 pc's for 1 year for £5 as it was old stock but Bitdefender do a free upgrade to 2013 for any 1 who has a licence.

How is a port scan even getting to your PC when you're on a private network? Are you using static NAT or in the DMZ?

It didn't. It's incredibly misleading. PistolPete's post didn't help.
