Bit disappointed there! :(

Just sat there on the Skylake Z170 Pro Gaming PC Configurator selecting and tweaking the options to configure my idea of a build. Spent a bit of time reading through reviews etc. So at the end its double the starting price with my options which is fine as all my choices have added up to my perfect game build.

So happy and think great I’ll shove this in my wish list – right! So I do and watch the nice we wish list show its there. Great I thought. So I go in and it’s just saved the basic starting build and deleted all my options. Surly this is the wrong why to go about it buy encouraging personal tweaks only for it to reset. After enjoying the experience I’m gutted to do it all again and what would be the point if it does not save!

Apologies if it was my fault but the only thing I can see is this copy and link thing that does save it but it would have been nice just to add it right to my wish list.?

The Link version saved but it does not save it to my wish list like that. In my wish list it just loads up the standard £1051 start build. It was on the second attempt I saved and copied the link. If you from that link press add to wish list you will see what I mean.

Would have been nice just to have the £2K build sitting in the wish list and not this external copy and paste deal into a word doc for safe keeping just now.

Just playing around just now with builds for early next year. My eleven year old AMD Athlon has done me proud. Been out of it that long that all I see is the newest and faster clock speeds. 6 cores over 4 cores that people have said games etc never take advantage off. Hay I put this off year after year probably six core skylake will be out by then ;)

I’ve not looked into if that “Samsung SM951 256GB M.2 PCI-e Gen3 8Gbps x 4 AHCI Solid State Drive “ just for the Os is worth it or not. Seems a great idea mind.

Hey guys, yeh, we want to extend the wishlist to be able to save different builds, unfortunately at the moment it just saves the stock build as it only can store the stockid.

Please note that you should click the save configuration button, copying the address bar URL saves the temporary configuration.

Cheers for getting back yeah I copied the save configuration link and pasted in a word file for now. I was just caught out after spending a bit of time reading through option reviews and choosing only for it to not go as expected and not take all the configured options on to the wish list. I was like “ ok where did all my tick options go….Nooooooooo”:(

I’d love to have two or three on my wish list builds that I could watch and tinker with truth be told. Right now I have a word file with components I think I want noted down kind of listed in a very rough system.

Be great even to have your personal build as an option that you could tick components to move them on to your build, Even have it check if components work with each other like Motherboard and CPU’s. But hay what do I know that could be a lot of work and hard to do.
