bit disappointing speeds, anyone know what it could be ?

This are my broadband stats:

But according to this:

I should get at least 12 mb with the current settings.
I also tried getting my isp to reduce the SNR to 6dB but they refused saying some rubbish that it could make my phone connection unstable, is this true or did the lvl 1 support guy just know nothing about this?
As I understand the attenuation aint that bad and I can get more out of my connection.

Orange ADSL Extra 20mb/1mb unlimited (no fair use greedyness either) for 19.95 € a month...

Lowering the SNR does make a conenction less stable, however it's worth trying. You could also ask them to put you onto fastpath/turn off interleaving.

You're already getting CRC errors which presumably will also be reported at the back end hence the reluctance to reduce the SNR margin as you could end up with an unusable line.

The crc errors are possibly coz I'm using my net 24/7 with at least 200kb/sec of data coming through nonstop.
The more data the more crc errors surely ?

Still, I should get more speed even with that SNR though ?
