Any idea on pointing me in the right direction for a new build.

Needs to be quiet. Small and compact but still atx. Ideally a custom water loop but I’ve always used aio coolers before, so I have no idea what bits I need or weather all cases are compatible. Colouring ideally black and gold/yellow.

I would like to over clock but ideally with some sort of mobo presets like my last
Mobo.

I’m a bit of a ROG, Intel and nvidia fan boy.

I’m open to options on budget, I used to just try and buy the best every 3 - 5 years but I’ve seen ram sets at 1500 quid so that idea seems to be impossible now with prosumer pricing trends.

I was thinking be quiets 600 case possible. Was also thinking a widescreen g sync screen like the a 34” Asus or the 35 inch predator one. I reckon I would get most gains from changing my 7 year old monitor out.

My current pc is Intel 950, 24” 59fps monitor, rampage 3 mobo with 12 gb ram, Samsung ssd 500gb and nvidia 1070. 24” nec ips Monitor

Ideally I would like what’s left to be my new office pc.

You can transfer the SSD and GPU. I would also transfer the monitor, not as a primary one but as a secondary.

I will need to keep a second working machine for the office. So monitor and ssd will have to stay. I was considering either waiting to see what nvidia does at ces or buying a 1030 or something for the office machine.

I would take the opportunity to get yourself a good monitor for your office PC. One that excels in the type of work that you'll be doing. If budget permits, look at Dell's 24" 4K IPS monitor.

4K is overkill for an office monitor - especially at 24”

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,091.10 (includes shipping: £13.20)

Overclock that ram to 3800hz !

The pump unit in the silent loop is made by Alphacool and is a grade under a 12w DDC , can handle 2 rads and 2 blocks if you want to expand it

Couple of questions

The silent loop kit, isn’t that an all in one. Solution ie I can’t take it apart?

The 360 rad, will that fit the be quiet case? It says up to 260mm on the case specs.?

I had no idea that 3200 MHz ram can go that high.

Case can take 360 up top, recommended it to a few members . To keep the two drive bays you have tubing ports facing the rear end .

Or it can be fitted at the front, keeping the HDD bays but you lose the drive bays .

Kits is made with 11/8 compression fittings and pump is strong enough . I did it myself but you do lose warranty on the kit. Inline Alphacool version , doesn't have quick discounts . Just food for thought .

8 Packs ram kit are beastly. Running 3200hz kit at 3600hz on my friends build with an i5 8400, tried the kit with my 8700k on an itx case and hits 4000hz nicely :)
That are you can drop timings really low :D
