Don't know what to about my camera. It's got a dead pixel on the LCD :(

I've done a couple of test shots (against dark backgrounds) and try as I might I cannot see any sign of it, so it seems as though the dead pixel is definitley the LCD and not the sensor.

But...as the camera is less than a month old do you think I'm best getting it swapped. The store I got it from have another in stock so swapping it shouldn't be a problem.

For the record the camera is a Fuji S6500fd.

Thanks lads (and lassess!)

Its deffo not a hot pixel? When I got my 9500 I thought I had a dead pixel, but left it turned off for a while and when I turned it back on to reuse it the blemish was gone.

Depends on whether Fuji count a faulty pixel as a major defect...I'd try with the store first and use the not fit for the purpose line, within a month they should just swap it, but they may choose not to!

I popped into the shop during my lunch. As I purchased it less than 30 days ago I can just swap it over for another one.

Will get that sorted after work :)

edit...got it swapped over. luckily i checked the new one in the car before i left the shop...when it had 3 dead pixels i swore! 3rd one seems fine though :)
