Yesterday my router restarted itself, shortly after I couldn't get access to the internet at all, I'm assuming it tried to restart itself because the signal/speed was dropping

in the router settings data rate, noise margin, attenuation and output power are all showing 0, the status is going between Ready, Fail and GHS

it's as if the cable's not even plugged in to the router, the phoneline is working fine.

I'm 99% sure it's a problem that's out of my hands so I phone my BT who told me they could see no active line and I must be receiving internet through another ISP

any ideas ? it's so hard trying to explain something like this to the call centre staff

I've tried nw filters, 2 routers and a modem in to the master socket
I don't know what's going on here, they say they can't find an active line, and on looking at my statements the direct debits have stopped, I never cancelled it though.

Don't you have an account number your ISP can use to find your account, and what's happened to it?

If they've lost track of your account they may have pulled the plug due to non-payment. If they've messed up badly enough there could even be someone at another address receiving payment demands intended for you.

I cant find any paperwork or emails for the account. I always had problems when I contacted them in the past but now they're just saying I have no active line, They actually said the only thing I have is BT Sport through Sky, which I dont!
Tempted to place another broadband order with them but my phone line rental is tied up with someone else

edit - also - if i check on the Samknows broadband checker it says there is a service on the line that would stop me from placing a new broadband order, can see this taking a while to sort out
