bit of advice needed

Hi everyone my new motherboard is due today and was just wondering when i swap everything over what precautions should i take to data on my hard drives and my windows xp? Should i swap everything over to one hd whilst keeping my os on one and reinstall xp straight away? Thanks

if you've got two drives, copy data you need to the 2nd one

take the 1st one out, only plug that in new pc for now, and install xp (do a format),

once it's been installed, add the 2nd drive (when pc is off of course)
