Hi guys, just a simple question really, what firms should I look out for when purchasing a cpu cooler? Ive had a look at the Coolmaster V10 bit expensive and from what ive seen on youtube its very heavy and large, also been looking at the H50 by Corsair. To be honest im not that confident in trying watercooling as of yet, but the H50 seems a good starter seems simple enough.

Be great ive any of you guys could recommend and company I should look at.

Cheers Dave

Edit looking at the LGA1366 socket

TBH H50 is rly a basic watercooling system, not that good as u think, google around and u will find out. maybe u can try Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme + a good 120mm fan, best i ever seen. just a thought, cheers.

Hmmm....the H50 is kickass :) as good as the best air coolers for temps but can't touch custom WC.

For high end air check out.
Coolermaster V8
Thermalright TRUE (needs fans)
Prolimatech Megahalems (needs fans)
Noctua NH-U12P
Ultra 120 Extreme

I like the Noctua NH-U12P.

Cheaper than the coolermaster, It costs the same as the H50, and according to reviews they're pretty much neck and neck.

The thing is, it comes with 2 quality 120mm fans, and the difference in performance between 1 fan and 2 is minimal.

If you want the best cooling for the cheapest price, run the Noctua with one fan, and put the other fan in the side of your case, blowing directly on the cooler.

The cooler comes with the kit to link the fans, so they're both speed controlled by the cpu fan header. You end up with great performance with very little noise.
