Bit of advice really

I got the exhaust replaced and noticed on the drive home I seemed to have lost the accelaration I used to enjoy. When I put my foot down to increase speed, it feels like trying to do 60mph in second gear. Is this a known thing to lose acceleraration after having a performance exhaust fitted?
They may have disconnected the battery to do welding so it could be the car has unlearnt your driving style

how far did you drive back? if its that noticeable i would be driving back to see them.
or certainly worth a call to ask? had many exhaust fitted and fitted many never had a vehicle feeling sluggish

Isn’t that what happens when you lose back pressure?

What type of exhaust did you ask to have fitted? Unless it’s 5” in diameter throughout, there shouldn’t be an issue, unless it’s leaking somewhere.

Thanks for the replies. It was twin back boxes. Not sure of size but the ends are bigger circumference than the original stock ones. I think the auto box is struggling with the change.

You should just be able to ask for the part number from Ford - Then give that a google :)

Bit late to the thread but hahaha

The Ford places round here flat out refuse to give part numbers!

Are the likse of powerflow, corksport and jetex not still doing the rounds?

finding most dealers wont give part numbers out full stop. the excuse im getting is we give you a price and part number and you use the number to cross reference it with cheaper online parts......ok on the last occasion thats exactly what i wanted to do :) but my answer always is well if your worried about prices make yours cheaper.

daughters cat plus exhaust....vauxhall 1200 ..... motor facters 390 ebay exhaust specialist 158.....hmm wonder which she ordered and had fitted.....zaphira 2.0 diesel sport

Mazda were always willing to help me out, even let me use their online portal in the dealership to search for stuff lol

Website wise: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ has help in the past as it seems to give a few diff variations of model numbers for each part.
Needed some of them wonky bolts for steering and ford wee being useless, Autodoc and ebay for model numbers and I found volvo bolts that were exactly the same haha
