I have a credit of around 18 quid on my ebay balance and was wondering if this can be used on purchases. i know that it can either be used for future seller fees or refunded to the payment method that it was taken from but the thing with that is that i dont have that card anymore and i dont have anything currently to sell.

i dont know to be honest as I havent been on ebay in so long. I have placed a bid on something that i am interested in but I dont want to be winning a bid on something around 18 quid that im not interested in incase i cant use these funds

Yes, you can use your paypal funds to purchase. Its just like money in an account. And not just on eBay, anything with a PayPal paynoe button.

Wait till your next seller account payment date. The money should be refunded to paypal.

At least that's what happened to me when they charged too much by accident for me.

edit: But I do pay seller account fees using a paypal account. So if that's different for you, I guess it wouldn't apply.

Hmm, how does your credit go up anyway?

My guess would be that you sold something and had fees refunded by eBay for whatever reason or you might have somehow overpaid eBay. Either way you should be able to transfer it to your PayPal balance.

My fees are paid automatically whenever eBay invoices me but you can pay other ways which could lead to an account being in credit.
