bit of help and advice please

Hi folks, im just looking for a little advice to do with my latest graphics card upgrade.

I had HIS IceQ3 x1900xt-x upgraded to BFG 8800GTX

When i upgraded i uninstalled the ATI programs etc from control panel then ran the program drivercleaner and am running the card on 97.44 drivers from the Nvidia website.

Rest of machines spec =
Hiper 580W
Asus P5B Deluxe
Intel X6800 - scythe ninja + fan, clocked to 3.3ghz
Corsair XMS2 6400 c3 (4gb)

My problem is that in games im not getting all that great FPS (compared to the old card) even when i lower all settings to minimum did not get above 250fps. I do get a reasonable 3dmark06 score of 10886 3dmarkscore so whats up with this card when it actually comes down to playing games?

Has anyone else with this card had any problems?

Not exactly certain if i fixed it or if it fixed itself but i made a few changes and now it works.

I got hold of the 97.02 drivers, and rivatuner program (instead of the crappy nvidia control panel one which seems pretty useless tbh) then i went to safemode and cleaned out all nvidia and ati drivers with drivercleaner.net program then installed the 97.02 drivers after a reboot.

Everything seems stable and getting much better fps i guess the drivers i was using were just pappy or i hadnt cleaned properly before or something.
