Bit of help for a n00b - £500 Spend

Hi guys,

I've been out of the game for a while now really, and my current machine is doing my head in.

I currently have:

Corsair TX650W PSU
Intel i7 920 @ 3.2
12 GB Triple Channel DDR3
Foxconn Bloodrage mobo
250GB SSD
Geforce 560 TI 1GB

I basically want to be able to play GTA V on max settings @ 1440p as well as DayZ to run well (at the moment i get 15fps in some places on low settings).

I'm thinking I need to get a RAM, CPU, Mobo bundle and a new GPU. However, there's DDR4 coming out now and USB 3.1.

Have you guys got any advice for me, because I really don't have much of a clue!

Sorry, I just came back to add that. I left it out!

Well, the bundle (Mobo, CPU, RAM) i'd say £350ish
GPU - £200ish

People are putting a Xeon 5670 into their x58 boards to give it some extra life. Maybe worth a shot?

Awesome, cheers guys. I think I will get the GPU first, and then look at the CPU. I didn't even realise I could re-use my RAM

Does there happen to be a school of thought around what GPU would be good for GTA-V?

I've done some searching and I have also seen the recommended specs, but I basically want a card I can play it @ 1440p at high settings. I'm hoping a Geforce 970 can achieve this?
