Bit of help needed

When my pc has been off for a while then i turn it on to use it my pc stops as this screen below and won't go past it unless i press restart 1 or 2 times. If i'm using my pc and need to restart it will go past this screen no problem. I'm thinkin it could be my 1tb my book external had drive and if it is how can i stop this happening..

Things to try:

- Turn off Gate A20 setting in the bios.
- Disable 'USB Legacy Support' in the bios.
- Boot with all drives connected. Go into your bios and look at your boot order. Make sure the external drive is either not in the list, or is set to boot after your internal HD.
- Don't power up the external HD until your PC has booted.
- Check you external HD is not referenced in your fstab.
