Taken a while but got all my old favorites back, not forgetting the Pc engine is some 20 years old now

Pc engine Duo RX
Pc engine Duo R
Pc engine Super Grafx with all 5 games made for it
Neo Geo CD

All imported from Japan and cost a small forture (1941 for Super Grafx etc is about £120 on its own)

All machines play though a HDMI converter at 720 so they look better now than they ever did.

Get Castlevania on PC Engine. There was a really good RPG as well, forgotten the name now though. :o

Did I read that right? You spent £120 on 1 game?

why? was it sealed?

They are very few and far between, like some Neo Geo carts which can change hands for hundreds. Worldwide there is a massive market for retro.

Dont forget when the Playstation 1 came out £100.00 for an import game was average. Not forgetting paying £450.00 for an import model, same went for Super Nintendo first import i had was £350.00 with Final Fight lol. So paying more 20 to 25 years later they are collecters items believe it or not (Pc engine ans Neo that is)

Where you guys been, cannot anyone rember paying silly money for consoles and games, Even £25.00 for one blank PC cdrom

I was about 8 year old when the SNES came out. Got it for christmas, so no. :p

£25 for a blank cd-r? Can remember it being around £4. I remember burners being £500+ when they first appeared though.

Yup those cd-r were nasty, we started buying them when they were £15 each to do our own Pc games cds, the ones with like 100 Dos games on lol. You can imagine or grief when one got toasted as they did quite often, just like the playstation 1 pirates who would do a run of the latest import game to find it only works on about 1 in 10 machines, lots of re-funds. How things have changed!

I bought the jap version of Mario kart 64(came with a black and white controller)
cost £120 quid. Paid 400 for a asian n64. The good old days of importing.
£250 jap megadrive
£350 jap ps1.
I could go on lol.

Wow yes... I paid £96 for a Jap import of Tekken 2 for the Playstation 1. This was before mod chips too so to play it as i remember you had to disc swap and keep the lid open ..something like that anyway.

Worth every penny though, i played it constantly and still have it tucked away in the drawer.
