Decided to give the tractor a quick clean and to take some pics.

Car had been wax (collinite 476s) 5 weeks ago so this was just a wheel clean, wash and dry!

very nice, shiny car :), I still hate the front number plates on alfas though. It just spoils the whole car.

I quite like the offset plate, and to be honest with the design of the front end there isn't really anywhere else it would go!

Can you suggest a better mounting for the current design or would you have redisgned the front end to have a more traditional plate?

Alphas look the dogs. Shame they fall to pieces in under 2 years. I'm sure italians purposely build the nicest look car then throw everything in at the factory then shake it up hoping that it will all work.

Crikey, how much under 2 years am I looking for it to fall apart? I've got just over 36k miles on mine and it'll be 2 years in March so now I'm concerned that in the next 6 months it's going to die!

So beautiful. Why did you buy a diesel version?

It's like finding out a beautiful woman has a willy! :p

Love the GT.

I got the diesel version for 2 reasons!

1) I bought the car when it was 9 months old with 17k miles on the clock for a bargaintastic price (approx 1/5 of it's new OTR price!) from a very good relative!
2) I drive 100 miles per day so economy does make a difference!

I've just read your thread in the photography forum. Some good points in there.

I'd try and find a nice industrial estate as was mentioned. I think the car will look good in them... especially if you make the background greyscale... will really focus the picture on the car.

Like the processed version of the picture that someone did.

Would be far far better with a proper staged picture! Maybe motors and photography need to have a "meet" and we can all get some pro shots of our motors!
