In a rather embarrasing prediciment, was sleeving some wires for a pump and seperated the connectors from the molex unit, only I forgot which holes to put the connectors back in, the pump has blue and brown wires and the molex connection has an earth, 2 black wires and a red wire, anyone in the know which ones go where:o Thanks

sup mano, i was reading an x2 thread, noticed your sig and realised it was you :D bit of a wise guy now eh?!?!

no electrician so cant offer any tips on the wiring though :S

What type of pump do you have?

On a standard 4-pin molex yellow is +12v (NOT GROUND), the two black are the ground connectors and the red is +5v.

A handy diagram can be found here.

It should say on the pump, but they are usually rated for use with 12v. However, With blue and brown connections its hard to tell which is which. Are there any pictures on the box of the wire?

PK!

What make and model ?

There's bound to be some pics on the net, maybe a review of the product.

I'm sure there will be a pic of the cable.

The blue should be negative/ground and the brown positive if they have followed any sort of colour standard.

I would connect the Brown --> Yellow and then the blue to either of the black cables (Negative/ground/common)
